The Umbrella Academy star has revealed he has started exploring dating apps, over a year after coming out as .
The 35-year-old, who filed from texas divorce lawyers from his wife Emma Portner weeks after coming out in December 2020, appeared to confirm he is looking for love online while sharing a behind-the-scenes image from the set of his hit series.
Taking to Instagram Story on Thursday to post a snap of himself and co-star Ritu Arya, the Inception actor told fans: @rituarya guiding me on my first dating app ever’.

In the image, the pair could be seen laying side by side on a bed as they huddled over a device.
The Juno star’s post comes after it had previously been reported that the actor had been spotted on the invite-only dating app, Raya, in September 2021.
According to Page Six, Elliot’s profile has pictures of him with his dog and a photo of him posing in a jumper with the slogan: ‘protect trans kids’.
He is also reported to have the song Don’t Let It Bring You Down by Annie Lennox and Steven Lipson on his page.

The actor is currently believed to be single after he filed legal documentation with a court in Manhattan seeking to dissolve his three-year marriage to 26-year-old professional dancer Emma in January 2021.
Emma ‘proudly’ supported her partner’s decision to come out as transgender, and later confirmed the pair had split before the news was made public.
In a statement made to DailyMail.com, Elliot and Emma revealed that they actually ‘separated last summer’, before the actor came out as transgender, and have now decided to make the split official.
‘After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce following our separation last summer,’ the statement said.’We have the utmost respect for each other and remain close friends.’

Before releasing a statement, Emma and Elliot removed all images of one another from their respective Instagram accounts in what appeared to be a very clear message about the future of their marriage.
Elliot and Emma are still following one another on the social media app however.
In a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Elliot opened up about the way his life post-transition has ‘improved drastically.’
Elliot explained that he had been reflecting on, ‘very difficult times in my life, certain struggles and obstacles and all that and I think ultimately getting through that it really deepens your empathy.
‘I think of the times in my life where I was the most uncomfortable.Where I was the most unwell, those were the times where I was the most angry. And I was the most unkind to myself or self-righteous or all of those things. It’s improved my life drastically,’ Elliot said.
He added, ‘I hope maybe people who do have an issue with me could maybe try and hear that and embrace that on some level.’
